What a creative take on the dystopian future--a regression to the Wild West with its reliance on wagons for travel, gun fights for survival, and plenty of bigotry. I appreciate the protagonist's character arc, but I feel that if the story had been longer, her transformation would have progressed more naturally. Normally I am a huge fan of novellas, but this is a case when I wish the story was longer.

Near future "wild west" lesbian librarians! After wars deplete the economy, society and roads as we know them crumble. In this short novel, we meet a roaming band of librarians who go from town to town, bringing books and trying to avoid trouble. Fun, quick read!

I normally can't be bothered with westerns, but this is such a unique and interesting take on the genre! I wish this were longer. I want to know so much more about this world.
