Finally finished this after starting it so long ago. I wanted to LOVE this duet like most people but I’m not obsessing over it. This book was much better for me once I got past part 1, not because of the nature of part 1, I just wasn’t really interested in that part of the story. Part 2 gave me more Butcher & Blackbird kind of vibes which is why I ended up giving this 4 stars.

Wow wow wow! I never thought that I would read a book that gave me as much feels as this one did. I had to take so many breaks because of how dark this book was but I always wanted to know what happened next. There’s something about Zade and Adeline’s love that’s intoxicating but also makes you question if it’s healthy. It also made me want to read more about Sibby and get and understanding of why she is the way she is.

Definitely probably a series I will read again and again!

Hands down amazing book. Even if I don’t agree with what Zade does sometimes he always knows what to say to make me squeal like it’s a cheesy romance book even though it’s now. Adeline goes through so much shit in this book and at some points, I just had to put the book down because I couldn’t read anymore. But it’s still an amazing book. I love the second part of the book and I’m glad that Adeline gets past her trauma. I wish she didn’t have to go through all of that but it made a really good book. But what made me love it even more is how patient Zade is with Adeline when he saves her.

This book ending when Zade proposed to Adeline was so cute. I honestly hated Rio part 1 of the book but ended up feeling bad for him

I found this book much better than the first one. Despite mixed reviews, I’m puzzled why some criticize scenes that are clearly warned about at the beginning of the book. Additionally, the author clearly states early on that a quick reunion shouldn’t be expected, yet some reviewers seem surprised. The inclusion of a playlist and Pinterest board inspiration is a nice touch.

Zade’s ego is prominently displayed, which isn’t surprising given his character. However, his cockiness sometimes irked me, especially during the blood play scenes considering the protagonist’s past trauma.

Overall, the storyline was more captivating than the first book and kept me engaged throughout. Rating it 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

the storyline is dark, twisted, and beautiful, but some dialogue and descriptors became ridiculously repetitive to the point where it took away from my enjoyment of the book.
