i started off really excited because i was still in that high from reading the first part of this duet… tbh i enjoyed part one better than part 2. this book was way darker than the first one so pls pls pls read the triggers before you dive into it…

I can see where this wouldn't be for everyone but I absolutely loved it. A deep dive into sex trafficking, mental health, a tormented relationship, and vengeance. The story of Adeline and Zade is engrossing and addictive. A total page turner.

had me in the first half ngl.
without spoilers the first half made me cry. i was sobbing actual tears all over the place. i loved the book even more than the first one and i was so excited (SPOILER ALERT TIME)
as i was saying i was so excited for zade and addie to take down claire and everything. anyways what rlly put me off was the ending of the book. the last 80 pages or so seemed so rushed and honestly stupid as hell. i was so down reading all their sex scenes but the one that put a bad taste in my mouth was when zade told addie she had to prove she loves him. and he alluded to the fact he took out her IUD while sleeping and proceeded to scare her while she’s yelling “NO” and he’s like “ur gonna have my baby that’s the only thing that will make us permanent legally” BRUH WTF. and then he proceeds to cum inside of her like ???? and then after he’s like “jk i didn’t take ur IUD out lolz” ????
THEN
the whole sibby is just missing with this dude from her past named KRAVEN? with no fucking explanation just yeah here’s this guy, now sibbys gone oh well.
AND THEN
the note from rio just in the mail. that was so dumb and shitty and seemed like such an after thought like i feel like there should have been more closure with the whole rio thing besides just visiting his sister smh.
AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON ZADES PROPOSAL?
