Where have I been?! This book was so freaking good! The first 50% really frustrated me, it was so dang angsty to the point I felt like I would need blood pressure medication. The next 50% was so well done, all I can say is bravo

A Heart attack between Covers!

Kennedy Ryan! Ma'am! I wanna speak with a manager. My gawd woman, this book nearly did me in.

I threw my Kindle,I cursed your name, and then I ended up swooning on the floor.
I've never had a literary couple give me the kind of push and pull Grip and Bristol have.
The indecisive angst gutted me one moment and thrilled me the next. I realize their story isn't over yet, and I'm a total glutton for punishment,so I won't even give myself a recovery period before diving in to "Still".
Just know that this couple is the real deal, and their love and art have made a deep impression, and moved me.

So much love for this book. I absolutely love Grip and Bristol’s story. Not only is it sexy and so alive with emotional/romantic love, it’s authentic and real and rife with social commentary on things that are going on in the world today. I love reading about people coming together, about looking at people we might consider a “they” and accepting them as our own. This book was a lot deeper than I was expecting it to be, and I’m so glad.

This book was so amazing! Facing head on issues of race and class, the multi-layers of this story went deeper than I could have imagined. Thought-provoking, heart-wrenching, filled with characters that were more than just words on page, this is one of my top reads this year. Everyone should read this book!

This story was slow to start and started picking up around 60%. With the prologue book I was thinking it would pick up and go, but there were too many conflicts happening throughout the story. At around 60% is when the first conflict is over and then there is about 2-3 more in the last 40%. Seemed like it was too drawn out and then thrown together at the end.
