This book was riveting! It had me on the edge of my seat every chapter! I would definitely recommend this to other Hercule Poirot fans! The movie was disappointing! Very innapropriate and multiple sexual acts, definitely not for kids! Did not follow the book at all.

I don't really know what to rate this, because the plot was predictable, but Agatha Christie literally created this genre and style of writing so... Technically, it's not.

I think the important part about reading a book like this is to know what to expect. This book was published in 1937, so going in with 2024 expectations purely isn't fair. That' why I think this book is a solid 3.75.

The beginning was incredibly slow, and there were so many characters that it was kind of hard to keep track of everything. But once it got into it, it was pretty interesting. and the ending was crazy! I predicted who the killer was but I didn't see the
murder-suicide twist at the end
coming at all.

I enjoyed it, and am definitely open to more Agathe Christie books in the future.
