Feels like a movie. Extra points for no men. Negative points for the art not being clear. It's very beautiful, but it should've had more color. Maybe that's the artist's style but many moments were hard to differentiate between things like characters and lighting because the color scheme kinda melds together.

A sweet and surreal coming-of-age story in which teenager Mia navigates boarding school, her first love, and a cool but dangerous job restoring buildings in space. (Why are there buildings in space? Shhh don’t worry about it, the spaceships look like fish, it’s fine) It got unexpectedly intense at the end and the pacing I think was off a little due to originating as a webcomic, but the art was beautiful and the characters (especially Mia’s school bully and her shipboard friend/coworker Jules) helped everything feel grounded.

The artwork is drop-dead GORGEOUS! I can't get enough of Walden's selective use of colour. However, I found the plot to be extremely lacking. There were too many characters to keep track of, and since Walden draws very simplistic faces, I ended up mixing up the characters. I understand this was initially a casual webcomic, which explains the inconsistent plot, but I was still a bit disappointed since I loved Spinning so much.

Lovely sapphics and science fiction. The art work is stunning. Also Ell is very dear to me

Beware of a certain character misgendering on purpose Ell, but overall, really cute

PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT! Heartbreaking and soulful and full of lesbians in SPACE. And the fucking art? Oh my god just so incredibly beautiful.

I love this setting and the story. Found family through a job on a spaceship is really beautiful, especially because of the diverse range of people in it. Asian, Black, other poc rep, lesbians, a nonbinary character (their backstory and character arc makes me cry), plus KINDA OLD lesbians. Adult lesbians in love I am a sucker for, like they’re just two cheesy wives taking care of their kind of adopted queer kids who work with them. They for real act like the mums of the group as well as their fucking friends? Oh my fuck?

Also the ending made me cry. This whole fucking book made me cry actually
