I wish there were more explanations on some terms. Hard to sit through at times, but enjoyed the ride nonetheless!

this book is so raw and honest and heartbreaking, yet comedic . great insight into how the nhs works from someone who knows a bit but not a lot. demonstrated to me the importance of the nhs and how they really are the unsung heroes of our country. nhs workers truly deserve the biggest pay rise.

If you're someone who gets offended easily, don't risk it by reading this book. It doesn't poke fun at patients themselves too much (though sometimes it would be totally deserved), but it can trigger some. As a person who works in veterinary medicine, I found some obvious similarities to our line of work. In solidarity it brings me so much relief, and obviously it was hilarious!

Well, she said to herself as she put the book down, at least we learnt from this and the NHS is overfunded now, with absolutely no issues with funding, staff retention or resource allocation.

(yes, everyone who said you should read it was right. no, it's not as visual as the TV show. yes, it is on you to take action if you don't want a privatised care system by the time you need it if you haven't needed it yet.)
