There were 3 storylines and all of them were underwhelming except that Lindsey’s case did have a major wtf moment at the end. I feel like this book was meant to prep the end of this series. Hopefully that’s the case and next book is the last book. The characters were being too nostalgic. Anyways, I’ll only add that Joe’s new partner BETTER NOT BE a set up for infidelity because it made me uncomfortable especially when Joe has already been iffy with other women.

The 24th Hour is three unconnected storylines. Not a lot of drama or tension.
Regarding (Yuki) Mary Elena’s story; why would the restaurant maître d' at Xe Sogni send a patron upstairs to the second floor to an employee changing area to use a restroom? Aren’t there restrooms downstairs for restaurant customers use? That seemed an absurd way to setup her storyline.
Every time Yuki goes to court, it’s a crucial career-breaking case about which her boss, Len Parisi, has serious doubts.
Joe’s story was a simply boring, overused cryptocurrency ransom storyline. Best skimmed.
While, Lindsay’s storyline was the most entertaining, it ended weakly. Overall not much suspense.

Another installment of the women's murder club. This one was a bit draggy and it was pretty easy to figure out the villain in the story. That being said, this series is an easy, fun read.

Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for allowing me to read this ARC.

I used to love this series… but this was the most boring book of the entire series
