This book was... okay. I wasn't really invested in the story during any point in the book. I feel bad because it's so great that there's trans and queer rep in a teen book, but I can't rate it high just for that.

The plotline idea was cool, just maybe not the execution? I just felt like I needed more. Idk.

HOOOOLY SHIT ok this book was like. so many things. It was poetic, beautiful, and then visceral at points. My god. I loved the magical realism, loved the air of mystery hidden underneath most of that for the book, the love story at the center of it all which was incredibly compelling, shdwhfineofnd WAUGH

I didn`t quite understand it. Like I didn`t understand why the things that happened, did happen if that makes sense. Why does she have a rose attached to her wrist?
The author was really good at describing sam as transgender. I could relate to him.
But yeah, the book didn`t give me what I thought it would and what I wanted.
