This delightful book was a gift from a friend. When she learned I had never read it, she tucked that knowledge away and a short time later this and another book arrived in my mail. The narrative and pictures bring a smile to your face. I especially love the picture the mouse makes. This is going on my forever shelf to be enjoyed by me and all the children (young and older) who come into my personal library.

Thanks Alexandria! And thank you Laura Numeroff and Felicia Bond for this story.

Mice are still pests. This one in particular wants to be waited on hand and foot.

"If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" written by Laura Numeroff and Illustrated by Felicia Bond (1985), is a humorous story. It follows a boy who gave a mouse a cookie. It shows that some actions have consequences that lead to more and more. It would be a great book for a 1st or 2nd grade classroom. It could be used to teach a lesson on consequences or if, thens. It is an overall great book.
