This book’s strength lies in its fantastic ability to deeply and meaningfully develop its main characters. It is also incredibly awesome that this book highlights extremely under-represented communities within the Queer umbrellas (specifically, Non-Binary, Aromantic, and/or Asexual spectrum main characters as well as Queer Plutonic Relationships).

Unfortunately however, I felt the plot itself simply did not work. At its best, I thought it was rather predictable and bland; at its worst, it felt that the unsatisfying and incomplete world-building took away precious time away from fully developing supporting characters and their relationships.

I definitely recommend reading this for the great Queer rep - however, prepare for an overall lackluster narrative.

Cute YA but I think TOO YA for me. The premise is good and I love the setting and representation but I think this one was just too young for me. Good for YA readers who are interested in a basics of politics though!

I read this book over two months ago and I still can’t write a review, lol. Lemme stew on it for a few more days, and hopefully I can come up with something! (Just know that I really really loved it !!)
