I liked this book! I’m usually more interested in stories with more of a fantasy world setting which I think is why it wasn’t as compelling to me but I liked the aroace representation as well as the depiction of queer platonic relationships!

I enjoyed this book so much more then I thought I would. I loved the magic and world, thought I wish there was more character building then politics. If I had to compare this book to another I would definitely compare it to The Folk of Air Trilogy.

This was a fast-paced adventure-filled ride. At one point I had to check if it was part of a series because I couldn't believe this book could be resolved with the amount of pages that were left!

The missing star is because key elements of the plot were predictable.
