It all works out, but I want a book with just Ilmari.

I felt that some parts were very over-explained and some parts were glossed over (I would have liked more about Avery leaving and Rachel getting reinstated). We also got very little about Rachel’s personal life when you really think about it.

PLLLEASEEE TELL ME WHY CHAPTER 83 IS IN RACHEL'S POV????¿¿¿¿

Chapters 83 and 93 should have never been in Rachel's perspective. That should've been Caleb or Jake *at least*.

But anyway I was shook to my core when I saw the amount of pages but I ate them right up.

Smut was 11/10
Character dynamics were phenomenal.
The writing did not give 14 year old wattpad fanfic.

Good smut + decent writing = hooked, line, and sinker

Sometimes it felt like you were stuck at the same problem over and over in different fonts like you're just reusing the same conflicts. "Yes I do love you this can work".

Speaking of which thank fuck for this part cause I was just about fed tf up
“Wait,” I say. “Everybody fucking stop. Rachel, we’re not gonna play
this game with you. At least, I know I’m not. I will not spend a single
moment of my time convincing you to stay—”
“Don’t be an asshole,” Jake growls at me.
“I’m not being an asshole,” I counter. “I’m knowing my own self-worth. I
don’t beg the people I love to love me back. Jake, get off your fucking knees,
and stop being a pussy. If she wants to go, let her go. If she wants to stay, let
her stay. We don’t try to convince her either way.”
“Agreed,” says Mars, crossing his arms over his bare chest

I did start to get a bit annoyed with Rachel's character and having chapters I think shouldn't be in her pov being in her pov didn't help but from the jump I was ready to give this book 5 stars and I still hold it in very high regard.

This entire review contains spoilers.

This book is downright filthy and disgusting…and I loved it. The spice was wonderful.

As a huge hockey fan, I LOVED that Emily Rath actually knew what she was talking about. It can be painful to read hockey books when things aren’t accurate.

Caleb was my least favorite of the partners. I appreciated the dominance he brought to the table, but I didn’t feel like he and Rachel were on nearly the same level as Ilmari and Rachel or Jake and Rachel. His moments with her never made me feel the same way the other guys’ moments with her did. By the end, my mind kind of changed the dynamic to be something along the lines of Caleb and Rachel sharing Jake, and Jake and Ilmari sharing Rachel, not all of them sharing Rachel. However, that doesn’t mean that I disliked him overall. I just thought of him more as Rachel’s bestie.

I do wish that Rachel married Jake instead of Ilmari, given their history and Jake’s need for reassurance, but I do get why it happened the way it did.

My main gripe about the book is probably the length. I think it was entirely too long. Also, Jake and Rachel in particular had moments where I found them to be annoying. That being said the smut was a 10/10. I loved the MMFM. IF you like your smut with a plot this is probably not the book for you. If you like your smut filthy and kinky you might really enjoy this.

I’m pretty sure this is the spiciest book I’ve ever read, which is really saying something. I think this would be a higher rating for a lot of other people, but a lot of the tropes in this just didn’t work for me. Absolutely WILD sex scenes though lol

This book was so good. It had you on the edge of your seat with some little twist and turns. I mean honestly you get to read about two different love stories developing. This is a MMFM why choose, 5/5 spice, so many different personalities. Is there an award for the skills Emily hold to write a book so detailed and so skilled in plot, drama, spice, and it all made sense.  This author is skilled and was made to write these stories. I am not the type of reviewer to tell you what the story is about. I will tell you what I liked and didn't like. There was nothing I didn't like about this book. The spice was dirty but also emotional.  The relationships and the twist and turns again played out perfect. I would not change a thing and I would say this is a book I would re read. I could go on and on for days about this book.

How am I supposed to go on after reading this? I’ve never fallen so in love with each individual character of a story the way I did with this one.

Rachel motherfucking Price is the definition of badass, and my favorite female main character of all time. The otherworldly connection and love she shares with Ilmari, Caleb, and Jake is everything. Her role in helping all of them not only find themselves, but stay true to themselves is one of the very best parts of the story all together.

And don’t get my started on the extra curriculars 🥵😅 A cocky defenseman, a brooding bear of a goalie, and their daddy-dom of an equipment manager…. what more can I say?

Also as a side note: I actually really enjoyed the look into the inner medical workings of a sports team, ngl lol.

Additionally, I’m definitely glad I read the prequel to this book (That One Night) before diving in as it really set up the story well, and showed just how deep and fated Rachel’s connection with Jake is moving into Pucking Around. Not to mention it peppers in some background on Caleb and a few other little things as well. (Hi Poseidon 🐾)

This woman can WRITE. From the plot with all the detail, to the toe-curling spice this ticks every single box for me. I can’t wait for the next book in the series (Pucking Wild) which centers around Rachel’s best friend Tess!

If you were debating, take my advice and read the damn book.
