Synopsis:

Zoe Bloom has her life figured out.
After a childhood spent begging for scraps on Boston street corners, she’s clawed her way to a successful career and a safe place to call home. She knows exactly what she needs to survive — a bit of money in the bank, a roof over her head, food on the table. Friends and family are a luxury she can’t afford. And forget about frivolous romantic entanglements. She can barely juggle her own problems; she certainly doesn’t have time to handle anyone else’s crap…

Parker West has spent his life running.
From responsibility. From obligation. From the corporate CEO position he’s always been expected to take over. He’d rather climb Kilimanjaro than sit in a board meeting with stiffs in suits. When a crisis at the family company forces him to return to Boston, he has no choice but to stop chasing adventures — temporarily. As soon as things are back in order, he fully intends to sail off into the sunset… Until he locks eyes with a mysterious blonde who screams trouble and sets his senses on fire. For the first time in his life, Parker doesn’t want to run. In fact, when it comes to Zoe… he may want to do something he’s never done before.

Stay.

Review:

Before I go on fangirling about this book, let me tell you that I am a huge fan of Julie Johnson's Boston love series. They are my top reads this year. So,when I heard that Parker was getting his story,I was so excited for One Good Reason.

And this,my friends,is definitely one of my best reads in this year so far.

In book 1,Not You It's Me,we saw Gemma and Chase, followed their story and I loved it.

In book 2,Cross The Line,Phoebe and Nate, stole my heart.

In book 3,One Good Reason,Parker and Zoe,messed up my brain (in a good way, obviously).

This book is told in Zoe's POV. We met Zoe in the previous book as Tink (awesome nickname,by the way) but only briefly. In this one though we get inside her head and see the famous hacker from Cross The Line.

This city isn’t just my home. It’s the heart beating in my chest. The blood thrumming through my veins.
I am Boston. Boston is me.
And, so help me god, I’m going to take it back from those who’d seek to poison it.
That’s not a promise — it’s a vow.

When a book starts with a quote like that, you know you are going to fall in love with it.

Zoe Bloom is a bad ass hacker who takes down illegal corporations. She doesn't have a family and grew up in the streets of Boston city. There aren't many friends in her life. She spends most of her time alone and infront of a computer.

I take umbrage at being cute. I’m a god-damned criminal mastermind. Criminal masterminds are not cute.

Zoe has a rough childhood and you have to know her story to understand her.She might come across as uptight a few times but nevertheless,I loved her character.

Parker West is a playboy who spends his life finding adventure. But after a family crisis,he comes back to Boston and takes the CEO position at WestTech offices.
I absolutely loved Parker. With his hazel eyes and killer sense of humor,he slowly worms his way into Zoe's heart.

I’m totally safe with him.
I’m… home.
And, for me, a girl who never had a home…
That means everything.

I am telling you,the nicknames these two gave each other will have you cracking up.These two were so good together and funny. The whole time I was reading this book,I grinned like a maniac, almost laughing to the point of tears.

“Seriously.” I fight the urge to stomp my foot. “Let it go, Parker. Let it go.”
“Hey, Elsa, don’t quote Frozen to me unless you’re prepared to listen to the entire soundtrack in my car on the way to Seaport.”
I stare up at him. “I’m not sure whether I should be disturbed or turned on by the fact that you know all the words to Let It Go.”

(Tell me you didn't smile after that quote)
And the scenes where the gang met Zoe for the first time, that was probably the best moment for me,seeing Zoe navigate their crazy bunch.

For me,One Good Reason will always be a read that brings a smile to my face just by it's name.

For anyone who is looking for a mind-blowing romance, you should definitely give this a chance and follow up on Boston Love series.

I have a huge hope that we will some of other characters again.*Fingers crossed*

See, now this one felt too short.

I couldn't really believe in the romance. It felt like he was like "look, I'm a normal guy! Kind, sweet, hot, and I just so happen to have a billion dollars!" And then she was like "I'm grouchy but also... swoon?" Felt more like a romance because the author said it was rather than the characters having chemistry by themselves.

I've said this with the other ones but it feels like a dark romance that removed anything that actually made it dark. Sure there's a kidnapping but it's the most white bread kidnapping ever. (A Phrase I Never Thought I'd Say).

I was really hoping for more from this book and I was definitely disappointed.
fast-paced

her books are all the same with different names. it starts pretty good, the romance is great, it burns. the heroine doesn't want to be with the hero, and the hero just wants her so much, after travelling the world he knows he wants to be with her. she keeps saying no until she gives in. they get together and then some lunatic wants to kill/kidnap/scare the heroine. they get mad and the villain is arrested.

it's sad that the sparks ends like on 50% of the book because it's when they get together. but at least the beginning is always really good

DID NOT FINISH

Such a shame.. did not finish; 80%..

I found it a bit boring at some parts

omg PARKER effin WEST <3

I love this story it’s so cute I love how tinker (aka:Zoe) saves Peter pan(aka: Parker) sister but then ends up falling I. Love with him so freaking cute also so hard when there isn’t trust in the beginning but 100% recommend this book for a rom com with a little darker side
