A children's adaptation of "Marley and Me" about a wild but lovable lab, who lives a life filled with destruction, verve and love, and in the tradition of dog stories everywhere, dies.

Read this to my students, and they LOVED it! Was a page turner from beginning to end. I love how Grogan writes, giving the perspective of Marley in the book. A must read book for anyone who has owned a dog. Warning: a tear jerker.....I did cry for part of it, which made reading it aloud difficult!

This is the one of the saddest books in the world. If you don't like sad books, don't read it. It is really funny, until the end. I am not usually that emotional with books, but I burst into tears at the end. The only other book that made me do that was [b:Where The Red Fern Grows|10365|Where the Red Fern Grows|Wilson Rawls|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1166154337s/10365.jpg|115]. Very good, but if you hate sad endings... wait, no. The actual ending wasn't sad. It was really sweet... OK, if you hate sad chapters, I would at least be prepared.

Oh boy, totally teared up. I love how clear the love that Grogan had for Marley, he knew alll about what made Marley... Well... Marley, in the only way a person who loves another living thing would know. I teared up. When i saw the movie i BAWLED, and im grateful that I actually picked up the book because in the end of it, it gives you a bit of happiness that was very much needed. Its beautiful

Great book...some parts reminded me very much of our Maggie. While it has many funny moments, it also has quite a few sad ones too.
