Disappointing. I only got through about a third of book 1 before I realised that I had been looking for excuses not to continue reading at so many intervals throughout that I closed the book and put it back in the bookshelf. I might come back to it at another time, but it's also entirely possible this will be one of those books that I just don't enjoy.

The best book I have ever read! I am so thankful for being exposed to this amazing piece of work and to Douglas Adams as a writer.
I feel like none of the books really have a goal for the story. It's basically just stuff that happens in a chaotic way and turns out in no way anyone would ever expect. But I loved every moment of this. Critics weren't lying when they said that it is the pinnacle of sci-fi comedy. If I could rate it more stars, I would.

I finished reading the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, it took me a while to get into it, but once I did I enjoyed it. I will pick it up and read the next story at some point, but did not love it enough to keep reading, needed to read something else.

This is insanely funny

I love the style of writing in this book. The randomness of the book keeps you on your toes (this also might help explain why the movie was so horrible). When viewing all of the books together the jumpy plot gets a bit tedious. That said, I greatly enjoyed the whole series and found it quite fitting to read it on my kindle.
