I thought this book was delightful! I liked that Laurence was a mannered character who was just shocked, SHOCKED by a little impropriety. I love the friendship between him and Temeraire as well as the depiction between the dragons and their captains in general. I really like intelligent dragons as a trope. The battle scenes were tense and captivating for me even though that isn't necessarily a trope that I love. I laughed out loud and shed actual tears and books don't always manage elicit that reaction from me. This could be a fun little series to follow.
