honestly it's getting worse and worse, why is it like made really important for the story that the main character is smart, when she acts so dumb all the time? can she stop acting like she's so special for being savage and not knowing basic latin and not reading assigned readings and showing a complete lack of any knowledge whatsoever during a college interview and maybe a complete lack of rational logical thinking (although to be fair she got better at that one in this part of the series, maybe she'll finally start acting her age in the like last book or something)? also it's getting weirdly racist with the whole "fight the racism thing", like the author is actually starting to come up with some absurd cases of discrimination and if she wanted the good guys to win, she would've already done that and stopped trying to make more and more money off selling people of colour's (imaginary!) stories

I always enjoy reading this series. It's a quick entertaining read, and I loved the Sherlock Holmes references in this one.

This was by far my favourite book of the series so far, I loved the character development and the mystery type storyline. There were a lot of interesting plot twists and the ending was great. I can’t wait for the fourth book (T.I.G.E.R.S) to be released later on this year.

I read the first 50% over a month ago. I kept getting distracted and it was taking a while to get through this. I allowed my phone to distract me from this book. So i stopped. Today i continued to read it and oh my goodness… to begin, after the first 1/4 or so, it was so fast paced?! I actually loved it

“What's worse: to be a monster, and to torture someone, or not to be a monster, and to stand by and watch that someone suffer, without having the courage wence. I to do something about it?”

“everyone,' admonished Esme teasingly, just the ladies Inder twenty-one. It's a debutante thing.
'A what thing?'
'Your "coming out" ball.
Now I was confused. 'But I'm not even gay:”

The reason i gave this wasn’t even because it was remotely bad, it was purely because the first half was slightly slower pace and had less plot. It was still great and i enjoyed it, but the second half was even better.

I was absolutely gob smacked with that plot twist because i just didn’t expect it. I thought the worst had already come and god i was proved wrong. The mc’s are so effortlessly funny.
