Another excellent installment in this series! I really enjoy all the characters in this series.

I know I keep citing the translation work on these, but it really does make a difference in the plot and how the story is presented. I'm taken back to the first time I read this story. I read them both in English and French and I did get into a lot of arguments over the plot points, since in French, it was clearer and they made more sense than what was out in English at the time.
Sort of petty, but I'm glad I got vindicated in my views with this new edition. The characters are so much more indepth than before and it is fairly clear that Tohru's feelings were quite clear from the beginning, even though it wasn't right out there with shining lights. Yuki's still a moron, but in this volume is when you see him start to really figure things out and understand the dynamics of the triangle that is supposed to be between him and Kyo.
Although this is billed as a triangle or harem, there's not that much of it actually happening. The men have their own lives and loves outside of Tohru. What they are responding to is simply someone who cares for them unconditionally and encourages them when they felt themselves stuck and hopeless. It is even more apparent when the backstories of Uo and Hana are revealed, since we all have had a need for someone like that in our lives.
Funny, but this series holds up and even surpasses itself all these years later.

I'm fine. I'm fine. Why don't I have the next one???

I absolutely adore this manga with my whole heart. This is a reread for me, but there are things that are happening that I forgot about. In this volume, I passed the point where I normally stop when I reread the series. So it's been a really long time since I've read this. This means that this is pretty much all new to me and I love it.

[[EMOTIONS INTENSIFY]]

Volume 9: I love Hana's backstory! It's sad, but Megumi is such a cutie and I love seeing how Tohru helped her. I also love Manabe and I'm so excited he was introduced?? Idk I thought he came in a lot later, so it was a pleasant surprise to see him! And Uo and Kureno are adorable to be honest. I just love Uo's personality- she's the exact opposite of the tough girl she'd have you believe.

Volume 10: That ending kills me every time! It's so emotional and it just strikes me right in the heart. Also, I hate Akito. I don't even know what else to say- I just really hate Akito. Yuki and the others don't deserve to be treated so poorly by him. (Also, I'm not a huge fan of Mayu and her little story, but I love Hatori so it's okay).

Also, if you're wondering, yes all of these will be rated 5 stars.
