I was tired of hearing more about the FMC’s cats than seeing her personality. I get it. She has cats. She loves them. What else. It also didn’t make sense why the MMC was so into her, and the drama that was building up at the ending seemed like it would be too obvious.

This book started out crazy strong - excellent set up with a smart mouth FMC and a cranky MMC and then it all went downhill for me. Instead of the characters building up to their connection it was insta-lust/insta-love and their conversations stopped being interesting. The author confused book length with conflict and plot. 
Then! Then! The book ended on a cliffhanger so I had to read the second one to complete the story. I had hopes she would start that one back to bickering but no, it just started with manipulation and sex.
