Picks up right where the first book left off and feels like a seamless continuation of the story. I find the dialogue improved and the characters just as compelling—especially the new ones on Rakhat. I might even like this book better since it gives more closure and hope with the workings of time.

"Children of God" is the sequel to "The Sparrow", which I read a few months ago. I figured that I should hurry up and read this one while "The Sparrow" plotline is still relatively fresh in my mind. It's a good read with touches of relligion/spirituality, sci-fi, romance and action/adventure.
