Finally we get more solid info about Darquesse! (The reason I am rereading this series!)

My personal theory right now is that the growing split between Valkyrie and her reflection will eventually become the Valkyrie/Stephanie vs. Darquesse split, or maybe (more interestingly) the reflection/Stephanie vs. Valkyrie/Darquesse split.

But holy hell I never realized that Valkyrie is fifteen and Fletcher is nineteen. Why is this written like a cute romance arc and why does no one else in this world (like Skulduggery or Tanith) seem even mildly concerned about the age gap. Like this is genuinely horrifying to include with no real purpose or nuance?!?!
