A light Syfi read. The tone is light. You don't get bogged down with science details. I enjoyed reading it and enjoyed the main character's developmentas well as the plot development. Worth the read if your into Syfi. This is the first book in the series but it can be read as a stand alone.

Not what I was expecting at all. Reads like some sort of YA comedy novel; however, I think it’s supposed to be an adult piece of science fiction. Full of plot holes and the main character(s) never grabbed me as someone I cared about, Mickey almost justified his “expendable” status, and I don’t think that was the point. Definitely one of my most uninteresting reads of the year.

~3.75ish!
Scared and intrigued to see how this will be adapted into a film, but I’m very excited for it!
