this is more so a note for future me than a review/recommendation (sorry!)
2025 I’m challengingmyself this year to read more classics and unreads I own - and this felt like a really fun one to get marked off both lists !!
but I found the language and writing a bit convoluted - idk if its just because I’ve really only previously read more modern books or if this was over the too bc its wonderland or if thats just the author’s style ??? so note (warning?) to future me that its not a mindless read if you want to actually follow and be immersed in story (maybe km just dumb ahah but thats why im trying to get back into reading esp outside my comfort zone)

Una favola che ho preferito vedere rappresentata nel film di animazione della Walt Disney...mi ha fatto fatica leggerla perché la storia è molto surreale, con personaggi fuori dal comune, dialoghi senza senso e filastrocche strampalata veramente troppa troppa fantasia e irrealtà per i miei gusti!

I honestly don't see what the big deal is all about.
It's too nonsensical. I'm alright with a little bit of crazy here and there, but the nonsense had no purpose, and the ending is not like I remember from the movies...very anticlimactic. It felt like Carroll just didn't know what to do with it so it just abruptly was over with a really uninteresting perspective from Alice's big sister.
Meh. Double Meh.
At least I can check it off my "must read these classics" list.

It was very wonky and funny and you can tell it’s made up on the spot, but it’s a fun story and since it’s not as dark and twisted as some other stories it was nice. I half expected someone to say do or something extraordinarily weird
