Have I told you lately that I love... Beni and Chantal? Because I do. I most assuredly do. I fell for them in Dark Ruler and my heart was broken at the end, on that epic cliffhanger, as I waited to see what would happen next.
And I'm so happy I finally finished. I will admit that the first part of the book was a little difficult for me mostly because I am so in love and invested that it was hard for me to watch the pain and anger and fear.
However, when the tide turns and the sun shines, it's so glorious and sexy and happy and it's everything I want to see in these incredibly strong, in love, and soul-beautiful characters. The steam is off the charts and the love made my heart ache. When it did get dark, all I could do was root for these characters and their happily ever after.
Real talk - do we get Miko's story or not?! Because I need the details on what that looks like!!!

This book was the perfect counter to the first in the duet. I loved how everything panned out! Some of it I saw coming from a mile away, other parts had me guessing and second guessing till their truths were revealed. Well done. Very well done.

I was lucky enough to be sent an ARC copy of the second book in the Bennett duet by Xavier & I loved it! I really liked the first one and the second was equally enjoyable. The first one ended on a big cliffhanger so I was so glad to finally get my hands on this one! Benicio & Chantal are GOALS. I love their relationship, their banter, their sex scenes
I liked it more than I thought I would after learning about Miko. Give me more Miko....

My jaw dropped a few times. I may have shed a few tears (I'm a crier), and I laughed numerous times. Also, Gia seems like an amazing woman and someone you'd want in your corner.
Loved this ending to The Bennett Duet. I am hopeful that Xavier Neal has a novella in the works, as there are details about Miko's story that I would like answered.

The emotional depth was amazing. The anticipation and angst blew my mind. The words truly created a scene brought you right into it. The characters are unique and strong with a sense of humor I couldn’t get enough of. My feels were all over the place. It really dove into the rough moments and connected you to their struggles. The story winds you up and never disappoints.
The conclusion of the duet was action packed. Chantal and Beni’s story continues and both characters continue to grow both together and individually in this book.
This one was more intense than book one and captivated me more. The storyline flowed better. At times I did find it hard to follow the Italian when they spoke a lot of it but I managed.

Xavier Neal wrote an enticing ending to the Bennett’s series . It was everything you’d expect to read in a Mafia book, from torture, power and deception
Chantel strength is admirable and Beni’s devotion to her is heart warming
I also enjoyed reading about Miko’s love and devotion to his best friends by sacrificing himself. I really can’t wait to see what happens with MiKo given that his life five years later was rather vague.
All in all this series is a must read!
