This was my first David Sedaris book & although a few parts made me LOL, I was a little disappointed; maybe my expectations were too high.

Oh, David Sedaris could write the telephone book backwards and I'd love it. Funny and dry - I love him and his wit.

This should be a three and a half, but Goodreads' rating system is garbage.

Another exceptional work by Mr. Sedaris. Kept me laughing from beginning to end.

Classic David Sedaris...I love him. Flew through this one at the beach in a day or so. He is so funny! Why can't I just write a book about my life and live happily ever after in Europe? :-)

Eh it just didn’t hit the same way some of his other essay collections do.

Sedaris' stories provide me with a few chuckles, though I'd have been fine without some of the more "graphic" portions. I suppose I knew what I was getting into when I bought it, I mean, most essays discussing gay male life in some way, but some ("Road Trips" at least) just seemed a bit much. I'm still reading it and still liking it.
Done. Same opinion. I don't imagine I'll try another of his books though.
