I love this series by Mandy Roth and was super excited when Ms. Roth decided to release Boomer's story next. You just knew that Boomer had hidden depths and Ms. Roth slowly pealed back the layers that made the man in this series. You knew that Boomer's snarky attitude hid a marshmallow center because he was so well loved by men who don't really show emotion. He was loyal and had a since of honor that was apparent even as he tried to keep his distance. I mean the man gave his time and money to animals that were abused. And when we learned why he was so passionate about his cause, you just wanted to cry and simultaneously kick some butt. So when he met Haven and was slightly clueless as to her importance to him, you just had to giggle. And of course his friends were less than helpful which was equally hysterical. Haven fit Boomer. She was able to pull something from him that I am not even sure he knew was there. I loved seeing them together even as the fought misconceptions meant to keep them apart. This story was well written and action packed. Ms. Roth allowed Boomer to shine even as she moved the story arc along. We got to see old friends and were introduced to new. This was well worth the wait and I am impatiently waiting to see what Ms. Roth has in store for us next.

Miles "Boomer" Walsh ... panther shifter, goth silver-wearing, how I adore thee. Boomer's past is BAD. Captain Corbin Jones rescued him and has helped Boomer heal from his past trama ... that involved vampires.

Haven Carey has trained to destroy the man who killed her brother, but things are NOT what the appear once she confronts Boomer. He was distracted by her scent, and goes in complete protection mode of her ... even as she's trying to kill him.

Once things calm down, Haven starts to realize she was lied to. Boomer's not the bad guy in all of this . Lil' Duke is a resident of Boomer's Animal Sanctuary, along with a damaged Panther named Scar ... who takes a liking to Haven.
There's a master vampire, who's created hybrids that most turn out defective. Missing I-Ops Lance makes an appearance, who goes by Thor ... but his programming seems to be fritzing out. He ends up helping when Haven's defective brother shows up to kill HER. Boomer has to come to terms with her DNA when she's injured and needs vampire ... turns out some of her DNA is Auberi's line from the Fang Gang (Crimson Ops) ... another spin off to come.
Boomer and Haven have instant chemistry. I loved the banter and balance between action and romance. Page turning read with great character main and side.

A good story and I loved Lil'duke in this. The story flows well and I was very much entertained and swept away by the story.

Although I will be reading more of the series, I just wish that more thought goes into the characters and we get a bit more. At times it feels as if not enough is given to the characters. This could be made to be a lot more interesting/intriguing and in some places it could be a lot darker, however it's not that type of book which is a bit disappointing.

Act of Submission (Immortal Ops: PSI-Ops #3) has it all from action and danger, drama and betrayal, loss and heartache. This is probably one of my favourites and I absolutely loved it. At the same time your heart is breaking it is also full of laughter. These hot alpha males are just to die for and funny as all get out.

Evil has gotten under her skin and twisted her mind, so Haven is after the man who killed her brother. Now she has him in her sights nothing is as it seems. Boomer is in his sanctuary and it’s his turn for poker night. So, when an unknown female turns up things get deadly and confusing.

I can't get enough of these paranormal stories Mandy gives us.

This big cat shifter has met his match!

Haven has been fed information that PSI-Ops were responsible for the death of her brother. She is on a mission to kill each member of the team. When her surveillance leads her to most of the team being in one place, she decides to strike now.

Poker night wasn't usually this much action!!! Boomer is hosting the boys poker night. There are two many female hormones floating around with his friends mates either pregnant or new mothers. Tut has returned to town and the boys are going to let their hair down!! Boomer has an animal sanctuary for big cats and other unwanted animals. His new cat , Scar doesn't like anyone but Lil Duke is having a blast at his new home!!

When a female literally drops from the sky and begins to kick their butts he's taken by surprise. But when his beast takes over and tries to protect her, he is one confused panther!!!

Well written, complex characters. Haven is great as the confused and grieving sister who is being used as a pawn in an attempt to take out the team. Loved it and now having to wait for the next one!
