i genuinely did not expect to like this book very much! i’m not typically a fantasy person, but i can safely say that this book captured my attention.

the characters all carry some weight along with them, and i think it enhances the story even more. i found myself rooting for everyone, even when i shouldn’t of been. i’m excited to read the rest of the series.

I didn’t really like the book and I don’t like any of the characters. I was tempted to DNF it several times, but it is like a bruise that you can’t stop yourself from poking at time after time. The end is quite good and now I want to know what comes next, but I’m unsure if I even want to read the next book at the same time.

I am invested. The first book is NOTHING compared to the next book and definitely not the third. The writing gets SO SO Much better as does everything because ✨PROGRESS✨

The first book was written kind of fast and felt a little YA at times and is written wattpad style IMO BUT it did not deter me from reading the rest. It definitely does hook you for some weird ass reason.

was this book even edited? I can't get over the fact that the main character's name is Tory Vega...calling out all victorious fans. I'm here simply for Orion.
