listen: it is described as bully romance but these girls get absolutely very much abused from beginning to end. it's not schoolyard bullying, those are crimes being committed every other page.

It had potential as a premise then quickly falls off. The storyline is a little addicting, but some of the things that happen are unnecessary and extremely off-putting.

The writing was atrocious. I'm not sure if it's lack of editing or maybe the author's first language isn't English, but the grammar is terrible. Also, it reads like Tory and Darcy are in middle school, but they are definitely in high school. If this book was intended to be middle grade, that would make sense. However, with this book's themes and scenes, there's no way this is middle grade. 

I might pick up the rest of the series, or at least the next book, because it was entertaining, if terribly written and utterly unbelievable.

I'm trying to give this a fair review but I hated it.

• It's certainly dark but too dark for my taste.
• Most of the actions are bordering on r*pe if not full on r*pe
• Felt defeating as hell to read. Since this is a first person pov, by the time I was halfway through the book my self confidence was nonexistent. The first book seems to be all about the girls getting their ass handed to them.

It is an intensely frustrating book which is addictive but for me personally it was too stressful to be fun to read due to the intensity of the bullying. The premise is really promising but it is let down by some serious cringe, such as the unimaginative teacher names (a fire element teacher called professor pyro, groundbreaking) and bad grammar. However, it is addictive and I am invested in hopefully seeing the Vegas get payback.
