Needed something light and a visit with the fearsome foursome did the trick. This time they headed to Scotland in January for Burns' Night in a friend's castle. Conditions are tough - no alcohol, mediocre food, and really cold rooms. Fortunately Lady Amanda planned ahead and brought provisions. Of course there is a murder or two and lots of sleuthing and outright funny moments (Hugo's skiing attempt for instance).

It's hard not to like a book about elderly friends who are invited to spend Burns' Night at Castle Rumdrummond in Scotland. Did I mention that Lady Amanda's butler is also her half-brother? She has just been told this on her mother's deathbed, but her half-brother has known all of his life. Predictably enough there is a snow storm cutting off the castle from the outside world and several murders. Release the old people and let them figure out what's going on. Works every time. A quick, fun read.
