This was not what I was expecting, but it was intriguing nonetheless.

I grabbed this book while I was on hold with my library app for the book Sociopath by Patric Gagne, and that probably means I wasn’t giving this book a fair shot, as it wasn’t the book I really wanted to be reading. I am making a note to come back to it again after I’ve finished the aforementioned, because I think the first-hand perspective is incredibly worthwhile.

Turns out being a jerk with a scary diagnosis does not make you an interesting person or a compelling or cohesive writer.

again, i cant rate autobiographies. its... weird and innapropiate for me to judge others life, HOWEVER; i had suffered lots of sociopaths in my life and hearing the other side intrigued me but also disgusted me. also, at the end of the book i was feeling sorry for her and... um, no.

This book in many ways was life changing, I enjoyed the antidotes and perspectives. However, I also felt at times like I was reading a person's dissertation; the work is full of quotes and references to other material, and less full of stories of the writers own life. Additionally, the author was clearly writing the book to make the point that not all Sociopaths are evil, which I already knew and agreed with. Lastly, it felt like th4 author had an al.ost vendetta against empathy and often didnt apply her own logical abilities towards them.
Never the less, I greatly enjoyed this book and am glad to have it amongst my collections.
