meh. i didn’t really know what i was getting myself into, but people said it gutted them. which, don’t get me wrong, it is full of trauma, especially the last 25%. but i feel like i didn’t connect with any of the characters at all. they all seemed super immature

Arianna seemingly has everything. An incredibly strong friend group, a beach house they get to share, and one unrequited crush on her brother’s best friend. She’s determined to live it up before she starts college with them in the fall with one last perfect summer on the beach.
When the summer ends in a spectacular disaster she starts college on a low instead of a high. But she runs into a familiar face from the beach. A boy who calls her Juliet and seems too perfect to be real. Someone who may just be able to get her out of her past. She’s finally healing and is happy when life tosses her a cruel twist of fate. Romeo and Juliet never got their HEA but will Arianna and Noah get theirs?
Meagan Brandy does it again with another book that grips your heart and soul and won’t let go. This book is not an easy journey. I’ll be honest when I say at times my heart was hurting so bad for these two soulmates but when she put us back together at the end I swear that it was worth every freaking second of torture.
This is a must read. I don’t care what your TBR says throw it out the window. You need to read this and may I suggest a Buddy read so you have someone to get through this one. I know Meagan said it took her 5 years to get this one right and I can tell you every single one of those seconds she spent on this masterpiece was worth it. This is one I’m going to be thinking about for a long time.
Noah is book husband material (he can wife me right now) and Arianna is so relatable and real you can’t help but bleed for her pain. I was rooting for them and their hard fought HEA since that first moment on the beach long before she saw him he saw her. This is truly Meagan’s best work to date. I hope we get more from this world because I need more time with some of these side characters (besides he who shall not be named because fuck that guy).
Thank you so much to Meagan and Wildfire PR for letting me read this one early for review!

Noah was the only tolerable character. And very random last act in my opinion. Still enjoyed it for what it was.
