Even though she was still performing when I was growing up, I was too young to be a Tina Turner fan. Tina comes off as such a driven, resilient, warm woman who inspiringly left her abusive marriage and managed to rocket to the peak of the music scene on her own terms even though she started her solo career "late" at the age of forty. I will admit that I love hearing her happily-ever-after love story, with herself and with her second husband and true love. Although I get the impression that Tina portrays herself and her life in a bit of a rose-colored way that is only possible after she's already come out the other end stronger and living in joy, I appreciate that she is candid about her health struggles late in life, and that her husband loves her, for better and for worse.

I really enjoyed hearing Tina's story in her own words. From the way she realized she needed to leave Ike, to the way she realized she was completely in love with Erwin, to how she felt when going through health issues. This truly was her love story.

The Queen of Rock and Roll can do no wrong. I loved this story of her life. Her strength and resilience are so inspiring. I loved hearing about how she remained positive throughout her journey.

This book was sad, nevertheless Tina Turner always managed to make the best out of the worst situation. Truly an inspiring lady.

What a life she has had. I listened to the audio and enjoyed it.

Tina Turner had such a hard life but really overcame all of it. This is such an inspiring book and she remains so positive throughout. Funny and fun ! Would recommend

A brutally honest portrayal of Tina's life through her eyes. It was not just about her and Ike but her after Ike. Her ups and downs, her loves and loses, her health crisis's and so much more. The songs mean so much more once you have read the book.
emotional informative inspiring medium-paced

Really enjoyable read. Yes, I found out new things.
A remarkable woman; strong, sassy and sure.
I'm glad she found true love in the end.

The only bit that would have made this book better, is if Tina would have narrated it herself.
