What I loved about this book is that it felt like playing my favorite cozy video games ☺️ from restoring an old cottage/garden, foraging and helping the locals. Strong SDV / Wytchwood / Spiritfarer / Fields of Mistria vibes. Can’t wait for both the sequel and Witchbrook (IFYKYK 😏).

This book was everything I needed. The Spellshop felt like a warm hug wrapped in magic and soft vibes, and I absolutely loved every second of it.

First off, the characters? I adored them. Every single one felt like someone I’d want to sit down and have tea with. They had so much heart, and even the side characters added depth and warmth to the story. The main character was especially relatable—soft but strong, introverted but passionate, and just trying to build a peaceful life on her own terms.

And the cozy fantasy vibe? Immaculate. This wasn’t some huge, high-stakes, action-heavy fantasy—it was quiet, comforting, and full of small magical moments that made me smile. It’s about rebuilding, about finding your place, and about choosing gentleness in a world that doesn’t always make that easy.

I loved how this book gave space for emotional healing and joy without needing to be loud about it. It just let you be with the characters and the world, and it felt like the literary equivalent of lighting a candle and wrapping yourself in a blanket.

100% a new comfort read for me. If you love soft magic, found family, a bit of rebellion with a gentle heart, and stories that feel like home, The Spellshop is for you.

Wonderful story of finding your way home, found family, and unexpected love. There are tense moments and unexpected kindnesses - and just a perfectly cozy vibe throughout. Loved it!

A little too cozy for my taste. I was only in it for the spider plant,  and I got Eric's Little Mermaid sheepdog/agony aunt instead of the Audrey 2 I wanted.
