I listened to a half hour before I couldn’t stand it anymore. The narrator was so incredibly slow and whiny. The content was boring, self important, and didn’t really say anything beyond a vague appreciation of nature. Not for me and tbh not sure how it has received such fanfare.

I am not one to re-read a book but this will be an exception. A series of essays taking the reader on a yearlong journey through nature and the author’s observations was both hopeful and heartbreaking. I wish I had highlighted certain thoughts throughout to I could revisit to see what moved me. So much of it did.

I loved this book! It reminded me of the way I feel reading Mary Oliver or Robin Wall Kimmerer. The author relates to nature in a way that I'm familiar with. Read it as an audiobook - but planning on buying the physical book to read again in the future.
