I don't really like essays but this one wasn't too bad.

Listened to the audiobook and it’s one of the more beautiful reflections about our relationship to the natural world and our fellow humans. Margaret Renkl is a wonderful essayist. Really enjoyed her musings on grief and joy and the almost mundane ways nature can provide such a complex range of emotions. Her voice is also just very soothing; it was lovely listening to this on my way back from work.

good, peaceful therapy.

DID NOT FINISH: 60%

I made the mistake of putting too many library books on hold at once. I really liked this book and hope to pick it up gain eventually and finish it. Unfortunately, or fortunately? The other book that became available demanded more of my attention and this loan ended up lapsing before I could finish it.

An artistic exploration of the seasonality of nature in one's own backyard, entwined with musings on life. A pleasant read.
