A taught psychological thriller full of intrigue and suspense, constantly hinting at the blurred line between reality and fantasy, while reminding us how easy it is for us to “go along” with even the most absurd things. We can convince ourselves of just about anything.

I couldn't put it down.

Slow moving compared to modern horror but one of the creepies novels ever written

I really liked this book, I loved the fact that it was short and easy to read. I could've tried to read it in english, if I knew it was easy to read. I was on my nerves, I knew right away that something was wrong with everything but I couldn't tell WHAT until I had finished it.
I don't have a lot to say about this, just that it was great and even tho I spoiled myself with the title in spanish I didn't find out the end till I finished it. I don't know if it is because I'm stupid or because the book was that good to not find out before. There's hints EVERYWHERE, and I knew who were into something fucked up but didn't knew for sure what and it was just so obvious, so I'm mad about that. With myself. But kind of happy too because when I knew I was 50% shocked 50% mad that I didn't find out earlier because of my dumbness.
BUT the end was surprising too, I thought everything going on was for another reason and it wasn't that actually at the end. So I liked that but I would've liked it more if it was the way that I was expecting. Just a tiny bit more... realistic? I DON'T KNOW.
Overall it was a really good read, I didn't have the time or I would've finished it waaaaay earlier because I was into it just after the first 2 or 3 chapters.

Even if you watched the movie or heard about the book this is a classic you should read

(2017), Swallow (2019), We Need To Talk About Kevin (2011), Huesera (2022) y la adaptación de Rosemary's Baby (1968) por supuesto.
