In the first half, I had a REALLY hard time keeping straight all the characters and their backstory. Once I sort of figured that out, the rest was pretty good! Juicy drama and kept me curious until the end when it all came to light!

The writing was so cliche and when she got to the part of the mom working 2 jobs and never quit all I could hear was Reba.

This book had a good premise with trauma, secrets, and unraveling memories, but the execution didn’t fully hit for me. The psychological tension was there, and Lucinda Berry knows how to build an eerie vibe, but the pacing felt off. Some parts dragged while others rushed through moments that should’ve landed harder, especially toward the end.

I really wish we got more from the other characters. There were so many moments where hearing their perspectives could’ve made things feel more layered and emotionally real. It felt like their voices were missing, and that held the story back a bit.

Now the audiobook? That’s where this shined. The voice actors were strong across the board. They brought out the anxiety, confusion, and intensity in a way that kept me hooked even when the plot wasn’t giving what it should.

It’s a decent listen if you like teen-centered psychological drama, but definitely one to go into with your expectations in check.

Not my favorite thriller / suspense story.

I liked the back and forth to start however it became a little much and at times you loose sight of which point of view your reading. It was very slow from about 30% to 70%.

To me, it didn’t really have an OMG factor and didn’t really surprise me. There weren’t any ah ha moments either. - Which I typically look for in a thriller.

a little on the predictable side but still fun nonetheless!

A page turner! But WTAF was that ending??? So many questions???? I wish I knew if the dad, Regina, or both were in those bags!!!

I wish it had a more complete ending. I need to see the aftermath and what happened to the other girls. Still a good story and very interesting for sure!
