Vackert rakt igenom!

This was wonderfully intense and emotional. It had a really palpable tension between the two men, and I was captivated by Oliver's carefree mask as much as by Elio's obsession. I think I especially enjoyed their time in Rome, because they still participated in the world around them. They didn't refuse all other company/experiences.

my feelings for this book are complicated. i don't see this as a love story but i like the theme of longing and yearning. i feel like they didn't really know each other tho which makes it hard to call it a tragic love story

It took me forever to read this book and now I finally read it, I must say it’s an okay read for me as someone who watched the movie first before reading it. I might admit that the book was better in terms of the ending. I got bored reading some parts of the book though. What I like was the aesthetics of the place and the vivid moments Elio and Oliver had. I’m very intrigued in reading the next book.
