Genuine Seemingly Unresolvable Threat

I know everything goes back to normal later, but this feels like an end of an era. There's a genuine threat, which may be unresolvable . This feels like the finale of the Avengers, and ends beautifully.

Wow... what a relevant comic to the phase four of MCU

While very different events take place with our avengers in this comics, next to our MCU counterparts-- we already know that 616 is not the same universe as the MCU. However, we are facing a possible breakdown our the Avengers team in the MCU. And that is what we are dealing with here.

And what a way to lead into the story of our beloved Wanda. Our powerful Queen, who doesn't have any idea what her powers are, what they can do, and how fragile her mind really is. In this comic we have a battle none of the avengers now they are fighting -- it turns it is all Wanda unknowingly manipulating reality. All because of the loss of her children that she didn't even remember losing.

This is a subtle story arc they are exploring in wandavision. We have the initial break, and what leads into House of M. I loved reading this because it gave me a more broad picture into Wanda as a character. The MCU is still fresh in exploring her. Comic wise she has years of content, but even with that content we still have a powerful character that has no idea what she's capable of. Specifically, reality is actually controlling her via her powers in this arc.

What a wild ride, and if you love wandavision, this is a comic I highly recommend.

I was told this was a good book for finding the origins of Wandavision, which it really is not, but this was so sad, starting with character deaths so early.  Great art, interesting plot line.

haha I stopped in the middle of children's crusade to read this and I should've read this before house of m but it's FINE,,, this story didn't have this long drawn out plot, everything happened super fast but I feel like it was good to see some of the history surrounding the avengers and highlighting their top moments, I haven't read all those stories but it still kind of made me feel a little emotional!

This is so bad. Not as bad as [b:Avengers Disassembled: Iron Man|752075|Avengers Disassembled Iron Man|Mark Ricketts|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1178040891s/752075.jpg|738207], perhaps, but really really bad nonetheless.

A bunch of different people and/or things attack the Avengers, one after another. Everyone who has ever been an Avenger shows up and bands together, while the rest of the world is suddenly disenchanted with the Avengers because Tony, acting under a mysterious compulsion, called out the Latverian ambassador for being Latverian whilst he was addressing the UN.

All of this turns out to be because the Scarlet Witch is pitching an epic chaos magical hissyfit. It turns out that if a woman is so distraught by her infertility that she magics a pair of children into existence, it is not an adequate therapeutic protocol to magic them back out of existence, wipe her memory, and then hope that none of this ever comes up again. I know, right? Magical DSM should have been more specific.

There is a flashback/reprint of when Wanda and Pietro joined the Avengers: colorful, carefree days when no one realized that in the future, they could be written by Michael Bendis. Then all the Avengers reminisce for pages about their best Avenging memories. Ultimately, though, Tony says he has to shut the whole show down, because he's completely broke. Whoops.
