Solid entry to the series, but not my favorite. This volume felt like a fair amount of set for the coming conflict of the next entry, with some interesting character moments interspersed throughout.

ugh. this is the one. what a journey Makoto-sensei has brought us on.. i was choked up a few times in this book.
some stories, often times popular stories, go on and on, without any discernible direction.. and these days i tend to shy away from that.
rarely you'll find a story that presents itself genuinely and proudly. Vinland Saga told you from the start: this is a traditional epic tale, prologue and everything. and again, to reach this point in the saga.. just wow.
i think we will get 2-3 more books but getting to the last page of this book, my heart was full.
