You don't have to know or like Pete Seeger's music to appreciate this book about his life, and especially, his continued passion to use music to bring people together for a variety of important causes. I never quite realized how early his activism started, maybe because I never realized how old Pete Seeger was. He did always keep that boyish face. We have so many important folk songs because of Pete Seeger. This book doesn't have illustrations that pop off the page or particularly lyrical language--it's folksy and readable, just like its subject. What a pleasure.
