This collection is so beautiful and inspirational. Everyone should write love poems to themselves.

Oh my god. From the start this poetry book had me hooked. The first poem itself struck me right in the heart. I was worried that it might go downhill from there, but it didn’t. In fact, it only got better. The poetry was beautiful and certain ones connected with me a lot, which I was not expecting because I had never heard of this author before, but I’m glad I know of her now because she truly is amazing. Without a doubt, it deserves 5 stars.

Leigh writes Girl Made of Glass in a beautiful yet heartbreaking tone that reflects her journey of self-love and reflection. You can see the ways in which she has worked on herself through all different stages of her life and learned to hold her grief with her joy. There are several mentions of self-harm, body dysmorphia, and mental health issues so it would be great if there was a content warning at the beginning of the book. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who has gone through a breakup or any sort of metamorphosis in their life.
