Interesting romance. It was a little hard to get me over the shapeshifting, but a good romance with lots of spice. I had to lower the rating because the last third of the book really dragged. Overall, enjoyable, funny read, if not exactly my cup of tea.

Lana’s second novel is definitely not as strong as The Nanny. This one offered up some great spicy scenes like her first book but otherwise it fell flat for me. I didn’t feel like Mackenzie and Noah’s connection and bond was much beyond their hormones. I needed to see their emotional connection more fleshed out. The shifter aspect of the book didn’t seem to add much to the story and relationship. I felt like this book couldn’t decide if it wanted to be paranormal or not. Also, the background information wasn’t laid out early enough in the story. I still enjoyed the book but this one was not as exciting as I had hoped.
