This book is so wild and outlandish 😂😂 I couldn’t put it down, but I think it was because of the crazy drama and not that it was particularly good. This is a classic Tijan book. So if you’re looking for something addictive and dramatic this is for you.

I read this book because it was recommended by Jay McLean. I didn't really read the blurb on the back, so I really had no clue what to expect. But this book was a great change of pace for me. Taryn is a fantastic lead role in this book. She may be orphaned, but the girl is super smart. I loved her comebacks and how she easily called people out on their crap. It was nice seeing her respected because she tried to do what was right. I also liked Tray. At first I thought he was gonna be a little too good to be true, but Tijan wraps his character up and unwraps him slowly like a present for everyone to enjoy. I definitely did not expect the ending to go where it went. I thought I was getting ready to read the last line few times before I actually did. I enjoyed this enough to start looking at what other books Tijan has to offer.

A Whole New Crowd begins when Taryn finally getting adopted after living her life in the foster system. The only thing is she's leaving the only family she's known, her ex-boyfriend and his brother. She knows that she can't be with her ex any longer, it's just not good for her or him. And Jace, his brother, doesn't seem to want anything to do with her any longer. So now Taryn is starting over in a new home, new school, and a whole new crowd.

This book was good. I loved the relationship between Taryn and Trey! They were an amazing couple, and I loved how they understood each other so well. The plot was very interesting, and all of the side characters were interesting as well. The book had lots and lots of drama, a heroine who doesn't take shit, and a hero who wants her just the way she is. This was an awesome ready, and really enjoyed it!

Taryn doesn't care what anyone thinks of her. She is what she is. She does what she does and if anyone doesn't like it. Does she care? Nope. Not. One. Bit!

She has been in and out of foster homes all her life. But the only 'family' she has ever known or had was her ex-boyfriend, Brian, and his big brother, Jace. When Taryn finally gets adopted, just shy of her 18th birthday, that is when her life changes and everything she thought she knew, about her 'family' is suddenly being brought into question.

Taryn's new family live in a nearby town. They are rich, their children are the 'popular kids' and life as Taryn knows it is changed forever. She finds herself being brought into the inner circle of the popular kids, by her sister, Mandy. This is when she meets 'Tray Motherf*cking Evans'. He is the "rich and blessed" version of her ex, Brian. Everything in her screams stay away, but Taryn doesn't seem able to do so. They have chemistry, but most of all they have an equal understanding of each other.

The relationship between Taryn and Tray is not the main focus of this story though. It sits neatly behind that story. In the beginning, Taryn struggles with fitting in to her new life. Her sister is trying to get her to make friends with her crowd. But they aren't who Taryn is.

Jace asked Taryn to move on in her new life, to forget about him and Brian, and to never look back. However, Taryn's old life soon catches up with her and with it brings more and more unsettling revelations. This is the main focus of the story. Her actions and questions have many far-reaching and heartbreaking repercussions as she gradually unravels the long held secrets, that tether her old and new life.

The suspense and blossoming relationships between Taryn and Tray and Taryn and Mandy kept me hooked. How does a girl from the 'wrong side of the tracks' suddenly find herself on the 'right side'? Why does a foster child suddenly find herself adopted by a 'rich, happy family' a few months before she becomes 18? These are only my questions from the prologue! Tijan done it again!
I started this book after hearing good things about it for months before it released. It definitely didn't disappoint. I have loved every single on of Tijan's books and A Whole New Crowd was no exception.
I loved all of the characters, well a part from the mean girls, and even a few tears escaped in the last chapter. It was an emotional story and kept me gripped the whole way through.

Not a memorable one, so much so that I forgot to mark it as read after finishing it.

Girl moves away from her friends and druggie boyfriend so go to a new school in a rich town with a new family. Past comes to visit one day and things kind of explode from there.

This was good, but I didn't really connect with the characters, so it is lacking that 5 star quality for me...other than that it was GREAT!
