Glorious
First time I read this book or the way it was written I wasn't sure if I'll like it or not. It's a completely different way of writing when it comes to murder and mystery, but I have to say I really enjoyed it.
And the same things that I thought will make me dislike it were the reason that I actually dig it even more.
The characters has the right amount of depth and I like the sarcasm, it add a fun vibes to the book.
It's very smooth and full of events and the plot twist ,my gawd , this plot twist was soooo satisfying. I had a hunch about it for some reason and I was right and I love the writer for it. Because this is such a twisted and wicked plot.
The writer did their job in a very smooth way, nothing complicated and nothing unwanted or unnecessary and this just shows how well experienced they are. Also it's worth mentioning that the investigation was so well detailed, that I actually felt as if I was part of the team or something.
Most of the time when I read a Myrder and Mystery book for some reason a lot of the writers ruins the book with their ending, but this one....aaah this one presents a grand fanally. The ending was unbelievable.
I can't think of a single thing that was missing, the idea was well written and well executed.
Kudos to the writer, this was just glorious.

I usually don't read thrillers, but I wanted something fast-paced. I bought this at the grocery store, and it delivered. I read huge chunks of it at each sitting. I think at one point I knew who the killer was, but Nesbo is pretty good at throwing in a twist to take the reader down another trail.
My only problem with this is that we are pretty desensitized to violence against women. Murdered women as entertainment is more than a little unsettling.

Definitely a 4 star read for me although I was hoping it would be a five star. Perhaps I had expected more of this one and I had anticipated reading it for a long while now as I’ve been reading Jo Nesbo’s Harry Hole series in order and have absolutely loved all of them. Something was slightly amiss in this for me and I say slightly because I really did enjoy reading it and am looking forward to watching the film version on Netflix now!
I found The Snowman one of Nesbo’s easier to follow Harry Hole thrillers and I rarely had to turn back to reread some aspect to make sure I understood the plot development. However there was something a little cliche for me about the plot line and the ending came as no surprise and I found myself hurrying through the last chapters as I felt like I knew what was going to happen. There were a few plot twists that took me by surprise and a few well written red herring pathways that melded well in the story.
All in all a great read an awesome one to start 2020 with. And Harry Hole is truly one of my fave detectives in Scandi Noir.

I really loved the book, I could barely put it down. There are no words that could describe it. I recommend it for anyone who loves crime stories.

Fantastic! I could hardly put this book down. More compelling than The Red Breast, the other Nesbo book I've read. For some reason, sexual deviance seems to be at the heart of every mystery I read these days, which is disturbing, but that's neither here nor there.
