sehr spannendes Buch. hab schon lange kein Kriminalroman mehr gelesen. Ich bin fasziniert darüber, wie das Buch bis zum Ende dermaßen spannend sein konnte.

Use this review for all of Jo Nesbo's Harry Hole books.

I love me a good serial killer murder mystery book. I like them to be creepy and unpredictable. These are all well written books and have the right amount of suspense to keep you turning the pages.

I would recommend starting them in order. I had to go back a few books since I started somewhere in the middle, although, it's not the end of the world if you don't read them in order. These books are perfect for the cold, stormy, winter nights that are going to be upon us soon.

This was pretty good. More like a 3.5. I wanted to read it after I saw the movie trailer. It's the 7th book in a series about this detective so there was a little piecing-together of the detective's past, but it seemed straightforward. I'm intrigued enough to want to read some more, especially of the past books. This dude was probably even cooler when he was a full-time drunken degenerate.

It's a convoluted serial killer mystery. I wonder how faithful the movie will be. I just want cool, snowy murder scenes, so it seems it'll have that at least.

Claims of "the next Stieg Larsson" and the like are in my opinion, unfounded. Was not particularly taken with the book and found it a bit boring actually - not great for a thriller...

Wow, such bad writing.

One very scary story perhaps reading it when I was alone in a hotel room was not the best decision. Thought the suspense built wonderfully, with enough red herrings along the way to make life interesting.

4.5 stars.

This newest installment featuring Detective Harry Hole was brilliant! From the very beginning, Nesbø had me hooked. The pacing and descriptions of the book reminded me a lot of the Millenium trilogy, which I love. The book constantly has you second guessing everything you thought you knew. I definitely plan to read some of Nesbø's previous works. Thrilling.

When I saw this at the library, I thought I'd give it a try since I wanted to read another Nordic crime novel (because I liked 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo' series so much). This was an OK book. I thought it was a little predictable. It was escapist fiction that didn't require a lot of thinking.
