I'm a huge cat lover so reading this book was kinda sad, the narative that all cats are selfish and bad (the big dangerous lions, leopards are as bad as simple home cats) was not my favorite thing at all.. but despite that I liked this book!! This was the only detective mystery that I did not guessed the killer and was surprised at the end.
AND I AM SO SAD ABOUT JOHHNY AND MILLIE, I SHIPPED THEM, LIKE IN OTHER CIRCUMSTANCES THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN A GOOD COUPLE......

Love the series this one was just ok though

I won this book in a first reads giveaway. I was a little unsure about reading this because I haven't read the rest of the series and I wasn't sure if I would be lost just jumping in to it for the 11th book, but I had no issues following the story. The book was written well and can easily be read as a stand alone. I really liked it and I have watched the show a little so I felt like I knew the characters pretty well. I will definitely get around the reading more of Tess Gerritsen's books.

Not my favourite Rizzoli and Isles, but I still enjoyed it. I liked the Africa setting and the two different story lines--kept it interesting. A nice break from some of the other books I've been reading, but that's why I like Gerritsen (and Preston and Douglas); I know what to expect from these writers and I'm usually not disappointed that way.
