I love when books go so hard with the political message and social commentary that it grips you by the spine and shakes you around a bit. I love families portrayed as supportive and loving as this one did.

The core message of "even if what you did didn't change the outcome, at least you did something" is so so important and just as relevant now as it has always been.

Very emotional read but it very was worth it 👍

This book flowed well. Great read. Should be an option to read in American schools

I listened to the audio version. Loved hearing the story in this format. I hope they do the book justice when they film this story.

This is seriously a book everyone should have read, at least once!

Even though this is “fiction” it’s not “fictional”. This book tells the truth and it tells it in a way that everyone will understand.

It’s hard thinking about this and knowing it’s true, knowing this is reality... i’ve always been blessed in that way. But this book made me realise, made me see, made me think and that made me understand. It made me cry, it made me feel ALL the feels. This book made me wiser and for that it deserves ALL!

I’m sad no one made me realise these things earlier, I’m sad that this has to be a problem! So do yourself and your surroundings a favour and educate yourself! And if you already are educated; then educate others! This book can help! If you have yet to read is, READ IT! It’s as simple as that! Just do it! (I’m not pressuring you but I am pressuring you a bit)❤️

I don’t even think I need to tell you, it’s clear this book deserves ALL the stars!
