the author probably: actually annoying & unlikeable characters who have no chemistry with each other deserve to be main characters in romance novels too!

the mmc is a walking red flag and somehow the fmc is the one that always ends up apologizing to this toxic waste of space??

This was better than the one other book of hers I read and hated (fool me once) but that’s not saying a whole lot. The author crammed in Every Single Trope and so much of it felt like an afterthought. Not to mention that everyone was absolutely unlikeable.

Next to the fact that this book screams millennial energy (which is of course not bad, it’s just not for everyone), this book embarrassed the shit out of me. I found Caleb really annoying, but most of all really entitled.
I can’t believe this guy is traumatised by a woman who had an abortion? How dare he compare the loss of his brother to an abortion, a loss of a foetus? And calling it “killing a baby”. The nerve he has to call that woman selfish because she didn’t want to have kids NOW and wanted to hire a nanny?
lmao I don’t know anything about the author but she could read a book about feminism or two.

Well…. I am pissed at this book. I was really into the story until about 80% through when the immense misogyny showed up. What a disappointment!
